To qualify for the Printing Plant Worker (Materials Handler), you must meet the following requirements:
**Applicants must meet the following Screen-Out element**, **Ability to do the work of a****Printing Plant Worker (Materials Handler**) **without more than normal supervision** to be considered for this position. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the online questionnaire. If your knowledge and ability in the **SCREEN OUT** **ELEMENT** below is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. Applicants must have experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to independently perform the duties typically required of a Printing Plant Worker (Materials Handler). These duties require skill in: receiving, checking, and recording all incoming materials. Processing and verifying quantities, materials and equipment. Completing and maintaining a log of incoming shipments. Checking shortages and other discrepancies and report to supervisor. Moving and handling materials such as stacking, palletizing requirements, distribute publications and perform warehousing and shipping functions. Inspecting various materials in order to recognize discrepancies. Only experience and education obtained by the closing date of this announcement (03/11/2019)will be considered.
**Physical - Effort:**Duties require prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching above the shoulder, and climbing. A moderate amount of hand, wrist, and arm movements is involved. Lifting is required for objects weighing up to 45 pounds; incumbent will push/pull hand carts or tables stacked with stock weighing up to 80 pounds. Incumbent is required to have good eye-hand coordination and proficient vision.
**Working Conditions-**Duties are performed in various temperatures, weather conditions, lighting conditions and noise levels.
