Summary of responsibilities In this role, the Exchange Engineer will take a lead role in the support of our platform and the mentoring and training of team members and peers. For our Office 365 , on-prem, multi-site, multi-domain messaging server environment, this role will provide enhancements, PowerShell commandlets, standards and help perform lead daily operational and maintenance activities. Other tasks may include leading incremental upgrades and configuration changes, and ensure systems are functioning properly. This role will also serve as the service owner for high priority incidents in the messaging space and will be responsible for corrective and preventative actions that result from high priority incidents. Other responsibilities could include support of mobility management/projects as needed. The successful candidate will have experience with scripting to support Exchange/Outlook including Active Directory Objects, admin scripting, etc. Scripting, pertaining to on the cloud. While PowerShell is the scriptinglanguage of choice, demonstrated programming skills and proficiencies with other scriptinglanguages may be considered. Critical metrics for measuring the success of this candidatewill be: Reduce the number of service requests and incident tickets and personal training of customers by automating, documenting, training and publishing solutions and knowledge articles that off-load low-value ticket handling from this team to the help desk and Level 1 & 2 support teams, or end user self-help Reduce the average age of a ticket by personally handling and resolving a large number of tickets in a timely manner This experience will also become an input in determining which low-value tasks can be performed by help desk and end-user self-help, and what tools or documentation they require for those categories of issues/services Qualifications List of responsibilities Ability to troubleshoot complex Exchange routing issues Configuring and troubleshooting email transport related technologies (DNS, SMTP, RPC, POP3, etc.) Mobile Device Management - Intune ProofPoint email gateway hosted and on-premise Understanding of identity management synchronization services Microsoft Skype / Teams Level 3 help desk tickets resolution - troubleshoot all areas of issues as it pertains to the messaging environment On-call schedulding O365 User, Group, Shared Mailbox management Professionalism and customer service to work with all levels of staff Provide solutions and support to customers in a quick and timely matter Identification and recommendation of process improvements Testing and evaluation of products and solutions which may enhance the client's efficiency and productivity Create training documents and updates to be used by the customers based on questions raised Required expertise 5+ years of Enterprise Messaging support leveraging MS technologies Ability to provide 2nd/3rd level support as it relates to messaging. 4 years of scriptingexperience, ideally with PowerShell 1-2 years of Mobile Device Management - Intune 1-3 years implementation experience of the technologies listed above. Experience in large scale messaging environments - +16,000 users. Preferred experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred or 2-4 years of equivalent work experiencerequired. Experience with the administration of Air Watch.
