Work collaboratively with members of the marketing department to conceptualize projects and execute designs effectively and efficiently? Design engaging social media content including infographics, shareable graphics, animated gifs, eblasts, online ads, etc., while being aware of file constraints and specifications unique to various social platforms? Maintain branding for General Interest, Culinary and Lifestyle titles, series, and brands, and licensed properties.? Photograph books and products shots for social media, retailer websites, and advertising? Design sales and marketing materials for conventions and cons, including large-scale banners, posters, digital ads, and program advertising? Keep current with trends and best practices in social media, web development, email marketing, advertising, and mobile strategies? Research and recommend compelling digital content that increases consumer engagement and acquisition across web and social channels? Keep projects on a timely schedule and keep supervisor in the loop on projects.? Archive all projects on time and be aware of production status. ? Provide general assistance on special projects, as needed. Requirements:? Minimum 3 years of design experience in publishing or media, publishing experience strongly preferred, please include your portfolio with your resume? College degree or equivalent work experience in Graphic Design, Typography, and/or Illustration preferred ? The candidate must have excellent time management and organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and problem solve in a fast-moving environment and keep projects on a timely schedule.? An enthusiasm for publishing is expected? Ability to work effectively and brainstorm in a team setting ? Interest in photography a plus? Up to date and fluent with industry leading software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, After Effects, etc.), PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:? Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).? The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.? Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.?
