The Regional Sales Manager is responsible securing new eBook business within the Midwestern and Western United States and Canada for all Taylor & Francis imprints.
This individual will have responsibility for their own territory, as well as oversight for the eBook and Digital Sales team in this region. Presently the team consists of two Account Managers and two Junior Account Managers for the region.
Key responsibilities of this role are: securing sales, monitoring the Sales team activity and results, quantifying the successes and shortfalls, and coaching and managing the team.
Key Responsibilities include:? Meet and exceed sales quotas and goals for existing and new T&F online products within the assigned territory, and for the team? Recruit, hire, and train the Sales team for the region? Encourage & monitor the Sales team as they initiate contact with individual libraries, consortia, and other institutions? Travel across the region? Represent T&F at exhibits and conventions? Follow up on all online product trials along with any expired subscriptions within territory ? Assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals.? Provide industry intelligence and competitive analysis of competing products and purchasing options of our customers? Assist with the resolution of customer issues where appropriate? Provide monthly reports detailing sales and trial activities within the territory
Ideal experience will include:? Strong organizational and project management skills? Excellent written and verbal skills a must.? Strong presentation skills required? Self-starter with the ability to work independently? At least 5 years Library Sales/Marketing experience? Demonstrable understanding of the Academic library market? At least 1 year of management experience? Proficiency with Word, Power Point and Excel required? Experience with CRM software
