Description Job Description The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Registered Agent contributes to the management of DHS HSDN Public Key Infrastructure tokens and certificates for the Department of Homeland Security working with Trusted Agents (TA) from the SENS3 contract, DHS HQ, and all DHS Component organizations. This individual will be part of a team of four DoDPKI certified Registered Agents (RAs). This individual must also be DoD PKI certified or become certified within 90 days of starting this position and perform the duties of any member of the team. DISA training is available at no cost to the applicant. This position is an excellent entry-level position for individuals interested in a career in the cybersecurity field. While mastering this functional area is not sufficient to advance to other cybersecurity functional areas, it does provide an environment to learn one area of cybersecurity and an opportunity to take additional training and education to advance to other cybersecurity disciplines such as network scans, STIG compliance, and other areas. Primary Responsibilities Making decisions of critical importance to DHS such as approval of requests to access secret DHS networks directing actions and tasking 700+ DHS Component Trusted Agents training the DHS trusted agents revoking access to the secret network providing oversight of DHS privileged accounts ensuring they are adequately secured and auditing CSP system records compared to Active Directory records and making necessary corrections among others. Provide direction to 700+ DHS Component (e.g., CBP, FEMA, FLETC, CISA, etc) Trusted Agents Leverage their technical understanding of PKI and digital certificates to debug user community issues. Working directly with our DHS client on related issues. Managing team email work queues for PKI token requests including processing CRI requests, validating user applications, working with the DoD CSP system, and issuing physical PKI tokens. Managing the submission of applications and approvals of tokens including the use of the DISA CSP system. Providing oversight for expire tokens directing DHS Component Trusted Agents Creating and publishing weekly team metrics to the DHS PKI TPOC to include items such as tokens issued tokens returned tokens with expired certificates average time to issue a token and backlog management, etc. Creating monthly MSPR reports to the DHS PKI TPOC. The MSPR is a comprehensive report of the status of all issued tokens by organization. Contributing to collecting metrics for the SENS3 Monthly status report. Supporting a hot line for user requestsquestions on tokens and the application process. Supporting privileged users with priority Developingmaintaining training documentation to include the delivery of quarterly training to DHS TAs. Developingmaintaining TA certification tests based on the training in coordinate with DHS. Maintaining adequate PKI token inventory to prevent delays due to material shortages. Training new RAs Basic Qualifications Understand the basic concepts of cybersecurity including PKI and digital certificates Requires BS degree and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
