We are now looking for a dynamic, developer-minded leader who is passionate about making developers successful in the realms of AI (artificial intelligence), machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) to build and lead our Developer Technology Engagement team.
Growing and cultivating the ecosystem of developers who use NVIDIA platforms to lead the AI revolution is a critical mission, and this role is tightly aligned with our strategic priorities. You will identify, recruit, and lead a small cadre of software engineers who will nurture the next generation of AI startups to help them accelerate their code, grow their businesses, and increase their impact on the world.
What you will be doing:
Scoping, recruiting and leading a globally-distributed team - building a team from scratch
Leading the team through professional development to ensure they are building expertise in the latest technologies, as well as becoming notable authorities in specific industry verticals
Creating the overall engagement strategy for developers that encompasses prioritizing key technologies and understanding the needs/opportunities within specific AI startups
Defining the portfolio of assets and materials to be developed, including; Code samples, technical blog posts, Quick-start and How-To guides, etc.
Directing the presentation and delivery of materials to specific partners (1:1, 1:few), and subsequently packaging the materials for dissemination to all devs (1:many)
Developing and reporting critical success metrics that define market impact
Rolling up your sleeves and getting hands-on with developers and partners technologies and platforms
Publishing insights and observations to continually improve developer engagement (How we communicate, SDK design, industry segmentation, etc.)
Collaborating and integrating with internal teams and leads (Inception leads, Developer Product Marketing, DevRel, IBD, etc.)
What we need to see:
BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science - or equivalent experience
Solid understanding of standard methodologies for architecture design, solution development, and enterprise implementations based on frameworks and platforms that are GPU-accelerated
12+ years experience in externally facing technical role
12+ years leading globally distributed, highly-technical teams in both solid-line and matrixed environments
Experience developing software at a technology company
Hands-on experience using deep learning and/or machine learning frameworks
Detailed understanding of software stack from drivers to SDKs, APIs
Experience presenting to technical audiences and creating technical content for developers
Passionate about getting things done quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrable ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work highly independently with broad direction
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
History of engaging and nurturing developers
Hands-on experience with NVIDIA SDKs and key technologies (e.g. AMP, TRTIS, XGBoost, cuDNN, CUDA, DL/ML Frameworks)
In-depth knowledge of modern deep learning software design, data science workflows, and applications
Familiarity with leading deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, XGBoost, etc.
