Our client located in Newark, NJ, is seeking a Content SEO Specialist to develop and support a search-data-based content strategy to acquire new visits through search, new links pointing to the company, and to improve on-site engagement. This is a contract role.
Research, define, categorize, and prioritize topic and keyword opportunities based on search data
Deliver competitive analysis of topics, including types of content that perform well
Use SEO Analysis to develop a publishing and outreach calendar with merchandising, social, PR, acquisition, member engagement, and marquee content teams
Create a content strategy based on dual languages (English and French)
Optimize existing content and pages on website
Launch and optimize a blog including technical implementation, content management infrastructure, and partnering cross-functionally on writing, creative, and technical guidelines
Ensure existing and new content have the right title tags, meta descriptions, and meta keywords individually and/or via partnership with a technical SEO resource
Optimize the site for mobile-specific considerations such as local results, page speed, and mobile page rendering, which includes partnering with the US SEO team
Train the cross-functional team on best-practices, processes, and requirements for search optimization of published content.
Manage a supporting SEO agency
Proven SEO experience
Proven SEM experience
Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics)
Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments
Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
BS/MS degree in a quantitative, test-driven field
