The Compensation Analyst will provide consultative support as part of the Total Rewards Team. The Compensation Analyst will establish compensation packages for new hires, assist with annual merit and bonus cycles, and act as the functional source for Workday providing guidance on system processes and procedures. The Compensation Analyst will report to the Vice President of Total Rewards and will provide services to the Human Resources team and its managers on pay related matters, policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization's annual compensation review process; coordinate manager planning activities in Workday, assist in the administration of planning guidelines and deliverables, and ensure that all recommendations adhere with budget constraints and demonstrate the organization's pay for performance culture.
  • Lead the organization's salary survey activities; complete all required information templates and interpret survey results to determine the organization's pay status relevant to the respective global markets.
  • Facilitate pay related data integration with Payfactors; utilize system's capabilities to warehouse all related data, create pay equity analyses, and generate meaningful reports for HR and business managers.
  • Evaluate existing and newly created position content to determine placement in the appropriate job structure and provide guidance back to supervisory and management staff.
  • Develop compensation packages for newly created positions by facilitating a comparative analysis on roles within the respective industry.
  • Assist in the execution and administration of a variety of compensation programs and established periodic reporting. Prepare statistical analysis, data modeling and costing analyses, as needed.
  • Analyze and interpret current pay practices, policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations; educate management and HR generalists as needed on FLSA compliance.
  • Develop presentation materials and communications that simplify complex compensation philosophy into understandable manager and employee processes. Conduct HR and manager training as needed.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources or finance or equivalent years of work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Business role in either HR Compensation, Finance, Systems, or Analytics
  • Superior Excel skills including creating pivots, v-lookups and what if statements.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented individual with the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality; skilled in data modeling /manipulation and is deadline driven.
  • Strong communication skills; demonstrated focused ability to build relationships with various constituencies.
  • Proficient in market pricing practices, theories, methodologies and tools
  • Knowledge of/and experience using Workday Human Capital Mgmt. & Compensation modules
  • Knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) compliance
