Our talk shows are a venue for top thinkers to help further our mission of explaining the news, and the world.

What youll do:

Youll produce one of Vox Medias top news podcasts, Pivot with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway, a show for people who want original insights, critiques of power/the powerful and new ways to understand todays business and tech landscape. You will work closely with the shows hosts, Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway, to identify the top tech and business news stories of the week, find smart voices to bring on the show, live direct and oversee the final product. Youll also be responsible for curating metrics and editorial insights and communicating them back to the host in a regular feedback loop.

This job will benefit from a creative mindset with a deep interest in tech, business, Silicon Valley and venture culture. The right person is creative, detail oriented and has entrepreneurial instincts for how to bring Pivot to a wider audience. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and ability to pivot quickly are also key qualities were seeking.

This is a full time position based in New York City.

What youll bring:

Experience working with and managing top on-air talent

Experience producing audio content as part of a fast-moving, collaborative team under deadline pressure

A portfolio that demonstrates an ear for great tape and inventive approaches to the talk show format

An intellectual interest in the rise of podcasts and techniques that can work to bring shows to new audiences

What youll do:

Produce Pivot two times a week

Coordinate with studio teams, talent and engineers for tapings

Provide hands on editorial direction via segment ideas and script development

Collaborate with Vox Media Podcast Network to find experimental ways to expand the audience

Collaborate with the Vox audience engagement team to encourage conversation around the show topics

Be the key point of contact for Live Pivots

Keep an eye on quantitative and qualitative metrics, weekly stats on show performance to hosts
