Masters prepared advanced practice nurse in either critical care or family care. Job Summary: The Clinical Operations team is responsible for HealthTrusts Clinical Advisory Boards. The Clinical Advisory Boards consist of clinical leaders from various healthcare systems and are a critical part of HealthTrusts contracting process. The boards exist to ensure clinical input into the contract portfolio, perform product evaluations as necessary, and support the implementation of contracts within their health system. Clinical Boards exist in the areas of Nursing, Surgery, Radiology, Cardiology, Laboratory, and various specialty committees. Supervisor SVP Strategic SourcingSupervises Directors that are heads of Advisory Boards; and the Advisory Board Coordinator. Key Responsibilities: The AVP of Clinical Operations is responsible for: Leading and managing the clinical operations team, consisting of clinical board leads that directly oversee the advisory boards, and other support staff. Developing and maintaining standardized policies and procedures, ensuring that the clinical operations team adheres to those policies and procedures. Including but not limited to: o Scheduling, travel and logistics for board meetings o Facilitation of board meetings o Agenda and meeting material formats, timing, communications o Parameters for vendor presentations at meetings o Clinical and technical requirements gathering o New Technology reviews o Product Evaluations o Product/Patient Safety Concerns o Onboarding/Orientation of new members o Use of specialty committees Ensure Advisory Board Members understand and adhere to the Advisory Board Charter. Actively engage boards (with contracting teams) to drive contracting strategies, determine clinical and technical requirements for RFPs, make contract award recommendations, and support implementation of contracts. Collaborate and communicate with HealthTrusts contracting leadership to ensure Advisory Boards are aligned appropriately with contracting processes and goals. Ensuring that the Clinical Operations team is actively engaged with the contracting team to provide clinical input into to all sourcing projects. Ensure that the Clinical Operations team understands the contracting work plan, goals and timing of all sourcing projects. Build and maintain close client relationships, understanding client key initiatives, and how those initiatives integrate or impact contracting initiatives. Engage in discussions with existing and potential members to explain HealthTrusts provider-driven contracting process and alignment with clinicians. Acting as a source of scientifically valid information and advice on the best use of medical technologies. Provide active clinical support and interaction with contracting teams, global sourcing team, and other HealthTrust departments. Engage with various levels of stakeholders, including but not limited to: clinicians, physicians, technical staff, department heads, and supply chain executives, CEOs, COOs, and CFOs. Identifying essential CEU course components and content development for the Source publication Managing the Clinical Operations budget. Duties (included but not limited to): Provide oversight of advisory board meetings, ensuring process, budget, and process is adhered to Routine meetings with Clinical and Sourcing teams to discuss current and proposed categories. Guide and create robust Contract Launch Package including, cross reference document, Contract Award Summary, other supplemental documents as required Create and pilot app HealthTrust Connect, to reach out to non-advisory board members to solicit feedback and guidance relative to contracting and expansion categories Develop process and policy for implementation of HealthTrust Connect, educate and ensuring adherence by Clinical Ops and Sourcing Team Create content pipeline for HealthTrust Connect; participate and monitor utilization; working with account director team to build participation Engage sourcing and clinical teams to share feedback from member participation in HealthTrust Connect. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated success in managing a comprehensive clinical program within a hospital, clinic, or managed care organization required. Demonstrated leadership history and capability required. Documented examples of successful clinical initiative implementation in a multi facility environment. Familiar with the primary technologic and strategic issues pertaining to group purchasing industry required. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required. Demonstrated presentation/public speaking skills and experience required. Proficient with a personal computer and the use of Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. Education: College degree with Bachelor of Science in clinical area required. Masters prepared advanced practice nurse in either critical care or family care. Requires sitting for long periods of time. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a telephone, keyboard, calculator, and other office equipment. Work is often performed under stressful situations.
